My my business/personal email on verizon.net stopped on Jan 5, 2022 on Win-10 Thunderbird and iPhone Mail. Verizon.net is hosted by AOL & Yahoo, and I CAN see my email on AOL although I'm not an AOL member.

I've tried everything I can think of to restore service on T-Bird which I have used for a long, long time and really love. But it has its quirks such as not being particularly friendly to those of use for whom "computerese" is a foreign language. And I know I have no hope of fixing anything on my iphone - it's just weird!
I've been using the AOL workaround for the last three weeks, but that's no long term solution and the AOL tech support might as well be nonexistent.
I'd be happy to just start with a fresh install of T-Bird, but I cannot afford to lose all of the saved folders with emails in them.
 1. Has anyone else had this issue with verizon.net/AOL. If so, did you fix it and, if so, how?
 2. How can I get around losing all my saved email folders if I were to install a fresh copy of T-Bird.

Thank you all. Being old and computer stupid is not all it's cracked up to be..... Rick
