Not sure what you mean by "locked out of my thunderbird email account." There is no such thing as a Thunderbird email account as Thunderbird does not provide email address nor a server. Thunderbird is an email client - a program that runs on your computer to facilitate accessing servers to download/send emails. You may have created mail accounts for various email addresses which access various servers.

So, can you offer more information so the forum understands what it is you are experiencing. What OS are you using ? Windows 10. MAc, Linux ? What version of Thunderbird are you using?

Are you able to start Thunderbird? Do you see your mail accounts and folders in the left Folder Pane ? If you select a folder eg: Inbox, do you see a list of emails ?

If you click on 'Get Messages' what happens ? Do you get an error message? If yes, what does it say word for word or post an image? Does it ask for password, but the password you enter does not work? Are you able to logon to your webmail account via a browser? This would prove you know and can use the password.
