Firefox is blocking an online game, how do I fix this?
I have an online card game I have played for 13 years. Just now Firefox has decided to block this. How do I fix this?

Nothing to "fix" with Firefox 69 - Flash is disabled now, it needs to activate Flash for every new page that the user opens. The pref to enable Flash globally was removed for Firefox 69.

Thank you for your reply. The interesting thing is I play 2 different card games from the same company and the other game works just fine.
How do you know that Firefox is blocking this game? Was there an error message displayed?
Can you attach a screenshot?

- use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot

Perhaps the other game doesn't use Flash? It may be based on native HTML5 code--??

When I click to open the game there is nothing. The game icon appears for maybe 1second in the Mac toolbar then disappears. There is no message, no image, nothing to screen shot. This just started after I made the mistake of downloading the Firefox update to 69.

Hello pattigab,

Thank you for the link - I have no problem with the site, but saying that doesn't help you though ....
I found this very long FAQ list:

Would you scroll down to "Troubleshooting" please (if you haven't already) and see if you can find anything that might shed some light on it ?
It looks that you need to download and install the game on your computer, so you start this application to run the game.
Does that game open a browser window when you choose to play online?
Thank you, I looked at the list and didn't see anything that was related to ISP issue. This game was downloaded and installed years ago. It does not open in a browser window. The game opens it's own separate game window.

Why do you think that Firefox is blocking this game (or decided to block)?

How long is "years ago"? Perhaps that game needs to be updated.

I downloaded the Firefox 69 upgrade and right after that the game would not open.

The other game from the same company was downloaded same time and opens without issue.
Hello again pattigab,
Maybe you could try to get an answer by sending Silver Creek an email :
Yes, I did email them on Friday. I'm hoping to hear back soon.
Use vpn mode
How would vpn help?
