Sometimes when I send an email to ask a question I copy the sent email to my inbox as a reminder in case I don't get an answer in a few days. This used to work but now Thinderbird keeps moving the emails back to the sent folder. How do I stop this from happening. I should be able to move any email in any folder that I feel helps me regardless of the email source. This used to work. Not sure when this changed If someone can tell me what version they made this change I will just go back to an older version until the get a work around.

Restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click on "Restart with Add-ons Disabled". If Thunderbird works like normal, there is an Add-on or Theme interfering with normal operations. You will need to re-enable add-ons one at a time until you locate the offender.

As a workaround you might like to try right clicking on the mail and selecting convert to and then task. That way your follow up mail will appear in Thunderbird's task list.
