Savvysearch has highjacked my Firefox! What can I do? It will not let me reinstate Firefox search without going via Savvysearch which does not allow me access.

When I open Firefox to search 'Savvysearch' appears to simply take over the search and does not give me the search outcomes I want. I have tried to 'opt-out' but it simply won't let me. I have therefore removed Firefox and am using another search engine. What can I do to get ride of this entirely unwanted 'data-collection' tool?

It sounds like you may have some malware.

You can easily refresh Firefox to try to remove this. Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

I'd also suggest downloading malwarebytes (www.malwarebytes.com) to run a scan to see if your computer has malware.
