I'm trying to enable an add-on /extension. Firefox instructions say 'You can enable at any time by opening Firefox, click Menu & select Add-ons. No 'Menu' button appears. I've closed the menu bar, in case this affects the situation, but it makes no difference. Help!

Dear Happy112 - Many thanks for your reply. I have to confess I didn't need to try out your suggestions. Before I saw your reply I downloaded Shockwave Flash, since I didn't have it, yet the Support Team had made an educated guess I did have it. The Menu bars appeared after this. But once, again, thanks very much for taking the trouble to reply.

Hi,

The '3-bar' menu button (three horizontal lines at the upper right side of the address bar, right under the closing 'X') should always be there.

Let's try Firefox in Safe Mode in case one of your extensions is the cause :

If Firefox is not running : Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running : Press the Alt key => Help => 'Restart with Add-ons disabled'. Then OK the restart. A small dialog should appear. Click 'Start in Safe Mode' ( not 'Refresh' !)

See : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

Untill you get that menu button back, you can do this :

Type in the address bar about:addons and press Enter.

I just noticed that while I added a temporarily workaround, you marked my post as Chosen Solution.

I'm really curious to know which extension turned out to be the culprit (might be helpful to others) .....

Thank you for the 'confession' - and : well done  !

Fair is fair : Would you please remove the Chosen Solution mark from my post and mark your own (last) post as such  ? After all : I didn't solve your problem - you did  !

You can recitify it by clicking on the 'Undo' button to the right of that post.

Well, no sooner had I sent my last request to you than I noticed I could click the Undo box myself by clicking on a tab right at the bottom of one of your responses to me. So I've done it. Please consider your honour preserved!

I just found your PM to which I replied, and then came back here to have a moderator rectify the Chosen Solution mark .....

Once again you did a great job  !
