imap and pop emails go into "local folders" instead of their own folders

Transitioned from Outlook Express to Tbird, and imported all the messages from there (and probably some settings). I thus have a "local folders" folder that has all the folders previously in OE.

I also have some pop and imap accounts, like on gmail, etc. Well, I really don't remember now, but in at least some of those, I input the info into Tbird and let it do the configuration. I've notice that when I get incoming emails from, say, a gmail account, they end up in local folders inbox, AND in the inbox under the gmail account.

I can't figure out why. I have looked at settings on the gmail website, and there is no forwarding in play.

HELP!

Thanks.

Well...that contains a lot of info about my email accounts, and I'd rather that not be made public. I can remove that part (Mail and News Accounts) if the remaining would be of use. Thanks.

It should have your settings and your email servers but NOT your personal info like your email address or username or password. Do not mark the box Include account names

Well, I removed the section Mail and News Accounts. Still contains lots of info...Hope the remaining sections will prove helpful.
