Chosen solution

Try to set the gfx.content.azure.enabled pref to false or if this didn't help disable Direct2D by setting the gfx.direct2d.disabled pref to true on the about:config page and leave hardware acceleration otherwise enabled.

You can also try to uninstall Windows update KB2670838 if you have this update.

From your crash log, it looks like you just upgraded to version 20, it could be one of your extensions is incompatible with Firefox. Have you tried restarting Firefox in Safe Mode?

To start Firefox in Safe Mode, hold down the Option key while launching Firefox. The instructions to do this can be found at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode.

Another option you can try is to reset Firefox preferences by following the instructions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-preferences-fix-problems.

Hope this helps.

@cor-el Thanks Changing the config seemed to have resolved the issue. Not really sure what i have changed and why. Have i turned off the HW acceleration? Any ideas what has happened to make it crash? Windows updates or summink?

I hate it when something crashes without any apparent reason besides normal use of my hardware.

Thanks a lot anyway.
