I haven't the foggiest what is wrong. I have uninstalled both Jave 7.15 and Firefox and re-installed them. When I click on the X to close Firefox it closes the window but when I try to open Firefox again it won't. I go to my control panel and try to uninstall Firefox and the Firefox pop up says close Firefox to continue. The only thing I can do is to reboot my computer to get Firefox to close. I don't know if there is a compatability problem with Java or Adobe or what?????

Can anyone help with this problem? jstjr1

See:

Make sure that Firefox closes properly and that there isn't a hanging Firefox or plugin-container process left in the task manager.

Use "Firefox/File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit") to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the title bar.
