when I start typing my ID to log in to email the program completes my email address and for security reasons I don't want that so how do I turn that auto function off

when signing in to my gmail account, as soon as I start typing my ID the program completes my email address. For security reasons I want to have to provide my complete email address and password--I don't want anything to auto fill or auto insert or auto anything. How do I turn that function off?

  • Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
  • Highlight an entry in the drop down list
  • Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.
  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
