Is there a setting that would keep a Firefox open window from becoming dormant and requiring lengthy time to re-open?

Using Firefox browser to open web application. Then minimizing it to the tray in Windows XP. When we attempt to bring the Application open for use from the tray, it takes a long time for it to be recalled from the tray. I would like to know how to avoid this.

Try posting at the Web Development / Standards Evangelism forum at MozillaZine. The helpers over there are more knowledgeable about web page development issues with Firefox.
