Hi,

I'm using firefox 3.6 on a machine running ubuntu. When I attempt to dowload medium sized video filed like for instance 10mb, the down load will often stop after about 3 mbs and state that the download is complete. How can I make it so that firefox knows to download the entire file?

Thanks for your help

Although I use firefox on a Windows XP, I also have the same issue when downloading. I was downloading a few podcasts which were about 50mb each, but only some of them fully downloaded. Others only got to about 10mb. I am not sure why firefox does this, but what has worked for me so far was just downloading it again one at a time.

Hope someone actually looks into this issue and figures out what's really wrong with it!

On Windows I would first suspect interference by Anti-virus software.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.

Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.
