On my old computer I could easily add new email accounts in Thunderbird. Right now on my new computer after installing Thunderbird and setting up my gmail account there, when I try to add another email account, I get stuck when I click "READY" after Thunderbird finds the outcoming and incoming mail servers and verifies the password. It is at that moment when I receive a message: "the outgoing mail server already exists" and I cannot move on. Could you please tell me how in this situation I can add another email account to Thunderbird?

Sometimes it takes a restart to urge your computer to cooperate. lol. Thanks for letting me know. I'll be a bit more confident because of it. Oh, and click helpful, if you wouldn't mind. Best regards

All of this assumes you're on TB v 60.9.0 I'm going to make a couple of assumptions here. First: that you've gone to Account Settings and clicked on Account Actions to start the process Second: that you've clicked on "Add Mail Account" If you've done that and then filled in your new "existing" email account, address and password and, since the outgoing is the same, you won't have to fill that in, You should be done! The only complication is if you choose manual configuration which, if you're using the same isp, you shouldn't have to do. So, please advise where your input differs from my assumptions and we'll see what I can do to help.

Thanks for your reply. I tried what you said in my Polish Thunderbird a few times few days ago and it didn't work, but I tried it now again today and for some reason this time it worked. Best regards
