The last 2 days, when I open my firefox browser a pop up appears asking me for permission for a firefox app to make changes to my computers. I have never seen an fire fox app before.

Should say that up until 2 weeks ago firefox was my default browser, then has a windows crash. Since then I use it but have not set it to default. Too complicated & too worried it might happen again. Could this be part of the problem?

I have no objection to the app but want to make sure it is safe please?

Thankyou.
