I have a new computer now..Dell Windows 10 with 64 bit. I have always been able to singon a website called SingSnap through my Behringer mixer on my old computer. Their set-up wizard indicates that my camera and microphone are in correctly; but, when I try to record the message comes up that no sound is detected from my microphone (please don't think that my microphone is turned off). SingSnap tells me to disable Adobe Flash protected mode; but your site says that your tutorial doesn't include instructions for this on Windows 10 64 bit. Can you please help me? Thank you.

Can't you do that via about:addons (Add-ons > Plugins)?

See:

See about:config

  • dom.ipc.plugins.flash.disable-protected-mode = true

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

Not for Windows 10. Your information says that it doesn't work for 64 bit operating systems. I did try following the instructions for disabling, but it didn't do a thing to solve my problem trying to use my microphone on SingSnap (a karaoke website). However, their tech person told me to try using a different browser so I tried Edge. Everything works perfectly on that browser. So...I'm using Edge for singing and Firefox for my other things. Thank you for responding. I found out that other SingSnap customers who use Firefox have been having this same problem and have solved it by using another browser. This seems to be a Firefox problem that is known about but not yet resolved. Have a great day and thanks again for your response.

If the pref isn't working for 64 bit Flash then you will have to edit the mms.cfg file directly.
