Have working Firefox 43.0.4 and Thunderbird 38.5.1 on OSx 10.11.2 MacBook Pro. Trying to migrate to an iMac. After using Migration Utility, all users get Profile Missing dialog box. Tried all solutions on Mozilla site, no change. Tried deleting/reinstalling Firefox application, all Firefox and Mozilla directories in ~/Library/Application Support/ and /Library. Still get the dialog box on for all users.

There has to be a way to throw away everything, during Firefox start up!

Once that's solved, I can copy the files/directories by hand or for that matter reconfigure Firefox/Thuderbird.

Found the problem. Migration Assistant left ~/Library/Caches/ owned by root. Did a chown from terminal and all is good.
