I get error message [OVERQUOTA) using Thunderbird trying to get hotmail. I have no problem using browser getting my hotmail.
If I click on my inbox using Thunderbird I get the message "The current operation on 'Inbox' did not succeed. The mail server for account [email protected] responded: [OVERQUOTA) The mailbox does not have enough space remaining to complete this operation. If I click on any other folder (sent, drafts, junk, etc.) I get the same message but the name of the folder is substituted in the error message instead of "inbox" as in the message as above. I don't have any problems using Firefox to get my messages going to hotmail.com. I'm only showing @400 messages with no large attachments.
Chosen solution
I tried some of everything and nothing I did seemed to help. I have been using my browser to check my email and yesterday I tried using Thunderbird and everything was working perfectly, just like magic. These computers are going to drive me crazy :)
Thanks for all help.

You should check with your email provider about this.
In addition to christ1 advice.
I did locate some possible results in google:
Another response says 'they are in the process of migrating Hotmail accounts to "Outlook". it is taking time.'
I appreciate your help but so far I have checked with Thunderbird and Outlook and each one tells me I need to check with the other one. The problem seems to be with the other party.
I haven't give up. Still trying.
The mail server for account [email protected] responded: [OVERQUOTA)
I don't think there's much room for interpretation where to start looking for the problem.
