Hi, I want to be able to select a hyperlink within an Excel spreadsheet it hyperlinks to Thunderbird. Right now it hyperlinks to MS Outlook. Is there a way to change settings to get the hyperlink function to work with Thunderbird? Thanks!

about halfway down that page is how to change the operating system's default mail client

Thanks for the response, but this didn't work. I do have Thunderbird set up as my default email client, but apparently excel doesn't recognize it, and still tries to open ms outlook, which is a problem because I don't have outlook installed on my computer.

Out of curiosity, what kind of "hyperlink" is it that would launch an email client rather than a browser?

I was thinking that Thunderbird doesn't do MAPI, but see this:

I know about mailto:. I wanted the OP to tell us what he's using.
