Hi, I'm developing a web site & from time to time, a sound must be played. In older versions of ff there were no problems in playing mp3 files. Currently I'm using ff30 & I get the following error every time a sound is needed: "Media resource addRemove.mp3 could not be decoded." I wish to know if there is any way that I can make sure my mp3 sound will be played in different ff version, behind the scenes, so our clients will not have this problem.

Thank you, Hila

Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the Mozilla Plugin Check site.

Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions. If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow Update button or a red Update now button, please update these immediately.

To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure. Install add-ons that plays any sound in your browser...

Thank you very much for your answer. The thing is, I wish to make sure our clients will never run into this problem. Is there a way to change in code the settings of the browser, so it will play the files like in older versions? or any other way, to make sure it will always play the sound?

Thanx
