Problems began after FF 12 installation
Since the install of FF 12 I have 2 issues. 1-When I click on the FF icon to open FF, 2 windows open-my homepage and the FF introduction page. In addition, the FF Update window initially appears-"checking compatibility of add-ons" before the windows open. Still happens with version 13.
If the browser is already open, and I choose to open another, I do not get the intro page when the second is opened.
SOLVED!! Thanks to the help from the forum members, I RESET Firefox and all of the issues I was having are gone including the pulsating curser. After the simple and quick RESET, all I had to do was reenter my homepage link. Everything else was undisturbed-my tabs, bookmarks, setup, etc.. Thinking of resetting Firefox before I do my system backup to make sure I get a clean file before each backup. Thanks again to those who helped out!
2-When I click on a desktop icon to open it, I now get a warning window. It does open, but the warning now appears that did not before versions 12 and 13.

Hi,
You can try to Reset Firefox via Help (Alt + H) > Troubleshooting Information and check.
If you have restrictive security software you may have to re-trust Firefox in it's settings. Please see this and this for common configurations.
