I have an old Thinkpad on which I have been running Windows XP to maintain access to Autocad. I have recently repaired the unit and it is running XP and Autocad but I need Internet access for which I need Firefox. How can I download a Firefox and Installer that will run on this system???? The Thinkpad is a R50p, 32 bit. I presently have access to the Internet through the Internet Explorer that comes with the Win XP disk via hard wire to the router but it will only handle 1 search before it crashes.

You can, however, I would not suggest connecting that computer to the internet. It will be a very bad idea, and should not be done.

If you must, please install Firefox ESR 52. But again, please don't connect that laptop to the internet.

Tyler,

Thanks for the reply. I havent been able to try it yet but hoping for the best. I have to go from my laptop to a CD to the target. Then, try the install. I assume the reason for the concern about connecting to the Internet is hackers, etc. I need to connect to the Internet briefly to download a printer driver and then I will go totally offline. I am retired and have some old AutoCAD software which I just cant afford to replace. With this offline setup, I can design and make planters, etc out of wood which cost me $150 in material and I can sell for $400. But I need the AutoCAD for the designing. At age 80, I don't plan for buys that require long term paybacks. Thanks again.
