After the last update to Firefox 59 all my passwords are gone. I am still logged in on some sites and if I click a field for a username one is suggested, however no passwords that I stored. When I check for saved passwords the list is completely empty. Also empty is the landing page with it's tiles. Also now I am asked for my master password every time I start Firefox before I can connect to websites. My bookmarks, plugins and stuff are still there...

What might be part of the problem is that Kaspersky suggested to update Firefox. However I can not remember whether this was on this PC or my other one.

hi, do you have security.enterprise_roots.enabled set to enabled? to check, enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named security.enterprise_roots.enabled. if it's shown in bold, double-click it and change its value to false, restart the browser once and see if you can access your passwords then...

Yes I did that after calling Kaspersky support. I did it because every time I opened a website it told me it couldn't verify the ssl connection or something. After an update I could not open a single website any more as long as Kaspersky was running. So I called Kaspersky and they told me I should change this value and everything worked as it should until the update I think. There might be a chance I didn't notice the problem in the meantime (before updating Firefox), but it is a slim one.

I just changed it back and it works. THANKS A LOT! Let's hope the other Kaspersky problem doesn't return...

As expected... the problem is back. I have to shutdown Kaspersky in order to use Firefox. And I know what they will tell me if I give them a call... Could Mozilla please come to an agreement with Kaspersky?
