How about the Firefox Menu Bar top left of browser is it enabled ? If not put mouse up to to p of browser in a empty space Right Click and Tick Menu Bar.

That is not what mine does. When Click Library then History it Opens right there.

But, what i would like is to make the "history" button in the tool bar to open directly the library instead of a drop down panel

You can find a History button in the Customize palette and drag this button to the Navigation Toolbar. This button has "Show All History" as the first item in the drop-down list.

I'don't know if this is an option, but for me the "Show all History" is the last item all the way down

All the way down is Recent History.

Looks like instead of the History you need the Library Icon, is 2 clicks but at least is in the same place.

Still doesn't work, the library icon only open a drop down menu, and going to the history through this icon open it in a drop down menu to.

I can't change what a button does; you could check for an add-on.

Working with the built-in buttons, you can move the "Show All History" item from the bottom to the top using custom style rules. To apply custom style rules to Firefox's toolbar area, you can create a userChrome.css file. If your thoughts are what? and what? I understand. A lot of users are just becoming familiar with this option after the release of Firefox 57.

I created a sample style recipe to move Show All History from the bottom to the top on both the History Menu button list and the Library button History panel. You can see the effects in the attached screenshot. This is in Firefox 59, which is a test version available as "Nightly", but Firefox 57 should be the same.

The shortest path to that point -- when you have 5-10 minutes -- is:

(1) Create a chrome folder in your currently active Firefox settings (Firefox profile) folder if you don't have one already (most people do not). That is Steps #1-#3 in this article:

(2) Download the following file from my website and move it into that chrome folder:

(3) If you do not have a userChrome.css file already, shorten the file name of userChrome-ShowAllHistoryAtTheTop.css to just userChrome.css (right-click > Rename, then use the Delete key to remove the extra characters).

If you already do have a userChrome.css file, open that file in a text editor and add this new line at the very top (on its own line):

@import url(userChrome-ShowAllHistoryAtTheTop.css);

(4) Exit Firefox and start it up again, and Firefox should find and apply that userChrome.css file. Does it work for you?
