For years I have been able to add multiple jpg pictures as an attachment to a list of e-mail recipients as well as resize the pictures smaller. Within the last week, Thunderbird no longer allows me to resize pictures and also limits me to attaching just one picture! I checked and in fact redownloaded the resize attachments add-on but still no ability to resize the attachments. And cannot figure out how to add additional jpgs to an e-mail. I am not getting a size warning.

I should add that this problem of limiting me to attaching one jpg picture occurs when I select multiple pictures and then right click on them and choose SENT TO: Mozilla Thunderbird. In contrast, when I go to Thunderbid directly and compose an e-mail and then select the paperclip attach icon, it does allow me to add multiple pictures but it no longer allows me to resize them smaller - which of course is a real problem and limits the number of pictures that can be attached to very few.

Restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click on "Restart with Add-ons Disabled". If Thunderbird works like normal, there is an Add-on or Theme interfering with normal operations. You will need to re-enable add-ons one at a time until you locate the offender.

Thank you for your response. Please tell me how to restate Thunderbird in Safe Mode. I have Windows 10.

OK - figured it out what you were saying. I was confusing Safe Mode with Safe Mode boot up in Windows. So I did what you suggested and no change.

When I select multiple pictures from my pictures folder and then right click on the ones I want to send and choose SEND TO: Mozilla Thunderbird, it ONLY selects on picture of the group to attach to the e-mail. In contrast, when I go to Thunderbid directly and compose an e-mail and then select the paperclip attach icon, it does allow me to add multiple pictures but it no longer allows me to resize them smaller - which of course is a real problem

By the way, when I used to go to Thunderbid directly and compose an e-mail and then select the paperclip attach icon and selected multiple pictures, it used to give a choice of sizing - I believe it was "Small, Medium, Large or Original".

ok the options you talk of a are provided by the add-on you mentioned. I suggest you ask the author why it does not work now.

really? The capability of resizing an image has been there for years since I started using Thunderbird. So I doubt it was an add-on. I would like to blame Windows 10 which I converted to about a year ago from Windows 7 but I had the resize capability in 10 also. Any one else have any suggestions?

Also, how do you ask the author?

I had the same problem. I disabled the Lightning Calendar add-on and that solved the problem. Didn't need to go into safe mode. I'm using Windows 10.
