Thunderbird 45.4 crashes on launch
It was working perfectly Saturday, Sunday it refused to launch and immediately brought up the crash reporter. I reported the crash, tried quitting T'bird, restarting it, restarting the whole computer, nothing worked. No Thunderbird. Today I uninstalled 45.4, rebooted, installed Thunderbird 38.0, it's working fine but the sender isn't displayed. Tried letting it autoupdate, as soon as it got to 45.4 it crashed on restart.
Uninstalled again, reinstalled 38.0 again, still no sender displayed. Updated manually up to 38.5, it now seems relatively stable. Still no sender info in display pane. It wants to update to 48.5 but that ain't happening. Any ideas what would cause this?

Have you tried it in Safe Mode? I recently had a beta crashing and it's due to one particular add-on. Running in Safe Mode disables all add-ons, temporarily.

What's missing with the sender? Is the column there but empty, or is the column absent? You can add and remove columns via the tiny square button at top right, or by right-clicking an existing header button.

I solved the sender column issue, it was collapsed and I had to expand it.
I tried Safe Mode on 45.4, didn't make any difference. I finally uninstalled it and installed 35, then upgraded to 38.5. I'm not upgrading to 45.4 at all, waiting for the next upgrade. It's working just like good ol' Thunderbird on 38.5.
Thanks for your help!
