I have tried the following:

Loaded new Firefox, refreshed Firefox, checked for errors and problems using Glary utilities, compressed all files for more room, opened in safe mode, did disc cleanup, deleted empty and duplicate files, checked how much space I have in C drive properties which is used space 38.3 GB and free space 244. GB. My computer came with 2 GB DDR3 memory. I have also set up my history to be deleted when I shut down the computer to take up less space. I am not computer savvy and don't know what else to do. Also, I don't know a MB from a GB so please talk to me like I'm a dummy.

Thanks

MB = Megabyte GB = Gigabyte = 1000 Megs

You should not have other programs do anything to Firefox files. It could cause damage.

Buy an external hard drive to store files you don't use too much.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder Firefox in your home directory.

Do Not remove the profiles folder.

Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox program folders by adding .old to them. Do not rename the Mozilla Thunderbird folder.

After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner. Then run the installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.
