Firefox randomly redirecting to homepage
Since the latest update, Firefox has begun redirecting to the homepage at random intervals. I haven't had any issues before the latest update. The problem worsens whenever I have to type into boxes on any website, including this one. Occasionally, it will also open a new window. Any idea what could be causing this?

What are you using as your home page?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
The homepage is the default Firefox page
The problem is still there in Safe Mode. At the moment it is showing up with opening multiple Firefox windows in the background after restarting the computer, then re opening Firefox.

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?
Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
