Had Ubuntu 12.04 and upgraded to Ubuntu 14.04 and now when trying to open an MP3 audio link on a website that used to work, now I get an error message that says file is corrupt. Using Firefox browser that is up to date. What now? The file opens fine in Documents with VLC Player.

Please post the link so we can look it over.
The website is http://hepler22.adventistchurchconnect.org/ and the "sermon" links on the home page won't open in my browser now since I upgraded to Ubuntu 14.04. They opened fine previously with Ubuntu 12.04 and on a Windows XP computer. The error message comes up stating that the file is corrupt and won't open now in Ubuntu 14. Maybe something needs changed but not knowing where to start or what to add. Have VLC player as my default audio/video player on this computer. I originate the link and when saved in "My documents", before uploading to the website, it opens fine and runs on the computer but seems to be a problem with Mozilla at this end??
Did you install GStreamer with all supported codecs?
- about:config page: media.gstreamer.enabled = true
See if this helps;
With the last Firefox upgrade, some plugins are no longer enabled until you enable it.
Open the Add-ons Manager by Pressing the Alt or F10 key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by; Tools > Add-ons.
Hot key; <Control> (Mac: <Command>) <Shift> A)
On the left side of the page, select Plugins.
BTW; At the top right is a link to check your plugins.
GStreamer and extras are here. Adobe Flash is here. add ons are "activated". Still not working---just get the "error corrupted file" message box.
Think I got it working. Downloaded the "Ubuntu Unrestricted Extras" from the Ubuntu Software site.
Thanks----still "going to school" here!
