I am using a CAD program, Solid EdgeST6. Its help button went online, and only supports IE. I emailed to Siemens support and received this reply:

Thank you for writing. I understand your concern – we have anticipated this. Unfortunately, Internet Explorer offers an interface for us to direct navigation from Solid Edge that no other browsers support. We challenged this several times, but in the end, we found no way around it.

Is there a way around it that I could provide to Mr. Riggs?

Hi ScottBrackett,

We really appreciate your excitement to help this engineer. I am trying to understand what exactly the program needs to work. It is a support site for the software? What does the software use? However based on the software developer's decision to optimize the program for that browser bugzilla is our resource to report bugs. We are always trying to improve. What is it that you need for that software to work properly? Recognizing the technical blockers would be valuable information in a bug.
