I have installed firefox and few days ago it ask me to upgrade something (I don't remember if it was the upgrade to version 19). Yesterday I tried to use a digital certificate that I had installed some months ago and I had used several times before the last upgrade. I've tried to find them in Tools/Options/Advanced/View Certificates but it's empty. Some days ago there were two digital certificates but now is empty. Where are my digital certificates? Could I recover them in some way? I would like to recover without having to import them. My two personal certificates aren't expired (I'm pretty sure).

Thanks in advance.

Did you ever reset Firefox?

Do you have an Old Firefox Data folder on the desktop?

If that is the case then try to copy the cert8.db file from that folder to the current Firefox profile folder.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply.

I've never reset Firefox because I didn't have any serious problem so far.

I don't have any Old Firefox Data folder on the desktop :(. I knew nothing of the information to which the link refers. It seems to be very interesting and I'll remember that on for future updates - thanks for this contribution.

I guess that it was the possible solution to my problem without considering the certificate import.

As for the importation of the certificate, it isn't an option because I've tried to import it several times and Firefox always says to me "The PKCS #12 operation failed for unknown reasons". After that unclear message, I tried to import it into IE and the message was different "The password you entered is incorrect" - or something like that. However, I've imported this certificate before with the same password without troubles.

Above all, I don't understand why I upgrade Firefox several times before with the certificates installed and I've never lost them. Is it due to any bug or I've done something wrong?

Thanks again for your help
