After minimizing my sidebar, it doesn't seem to open anymore after clicking on the bookmark or history buttons.

I attempted uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, but this did not seem to work. Nor did starting it in safe mode, as there was no means for opening the sidebar in safe mode (that I knew of) which would allow me to test it.

Chosen solution

Yes, but start with extensions that involve the sidebar - like All-in-One-Sidebar if you have that extension installed.

Press CTRL+I to open Bookmarks in the sidebar, or CTRL+H to open History.

Unfortunately, that does not work. I clicked on those, and the buttons in the menu bar were depressed but the sidebar did not open.

Try running Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.

Thanks. That does seem to work. Where can I go from here? Do I need to try disabling each of my add-ons one-by-one to see what the culprit is?

Found the bad add-on! It was Memory Fox. Hope this is helpful for anyone else who runs into the same situation.
