I had a tool bar at the top of the Firefox page that had only one thing on it and I wanted to close or delete that toolbar, and I deleted or closed the wrong one. Now the one with File, Edit, Tools, etc is missing and I don't know how to get it back. Can you help me?

Chosen solution

Pressing Alt will temporarily display the menubar, the other keys navigate to the option to set the menubar toolbar to display.

This should even work in Firefox 4 that has a firefox button, Alt will temporarily display the menubar as well as the firefox button.

Depending on what happened you may have to use customise/customize to make further changes or even the restore defaults, maybe even from Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode or investigate whether another plugin is affecting firefox behaviour.

Glad it helped, well done for finding the answer instead of asking another question.

Firefox is designed to let you easily alter what toolbars and other icons are displayed
