Yesterday I had Picture-In-Picture (shortened into pip for next mentions) working on youtube, then after one day, PIP no longer works on any of the websites, including youtube. I tried disabling and enabling pip, entering troubleshoot mode, and none of them worked. Not reinstalling because it will be annoying to log in everywhere I've had account at.

Any solution?

Where did you get PIP from and if Firefox what is the link to this Addon?

PiP is in Firefox, nothing new. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-picture-picture-firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/turn-picture-picture-mode

What Extensions are you using as perhaps one you installed or updated recently may be interfering. Somebody may be able to recognize the issue in this case.

Any relevant-looking messages in the Web Console or in the Browser Console ?

You can start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window

It's not in the extensions, i had 7 extensions for more than a month, they didn't cause any problems

It's a small glitch that's easily repaired. Seven easy steps...

1. Open the Firefox browser 2. Open a SECOND tab 3. While on the second tab, open the picture-in-picture (must be enabled in settings prior to step) 4. When the picture opens in full screen mode -- go to the right top corner and manually reduce screen size 5. Once picture has been reduced to the preferred size, close the FIRST tab 6. Open a new tab 7. Use the picture-in-picture feature, and it should open according to the size you dictated in step 4
