Do you by chance have a K or KN edition of Windows 10 ? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-video-audio-problems-firefox-windows

If so then you may not have Media Feature Pack installed which includes things like codecs needed in order to fully support HTML5 players in Firefox. HTML5 players is used for video, audio and even games on sites including Twitch and Youtube. You may think well Youtube seems to work fine. However you may be more limited more so with live streams or recently uploaded YT vids in viewing them.

I suggest a web search for the Twitch error. There are many articles on the subject.

What happens when you try to play a video on Reddit?
