Yesterday I had problems with an accidental install of a program called Maps Now, and later when I reloaded Fire Fox. I would like to get rid of that as it comes back on when I log on, though I can go to my old display that has most accessed favorites. I also lost the light blue banner atop the page that contains edit, copy, paste and print access. Can I get that banner back as it is easier for me to access that for using that function rather than using the function keyboard methods.

No, the light blue banner is a narrow band all across the top of the ongoing listings of what links I am potentially seeing atop my screen. In that banner are the following words:

File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help.

Oh, that's the Menu Bar. Tap the ALT key to temporarily see it. Right-Click on a blank area up there and 'check' the Menu Bar selection to bring it back. Mine is not 'Light Blue'. Mine is very light Orange.

It depends on your FF Browser Theme and/or what colors the Browser windows and Task Bar are setup for in Windows 7. My Browser window is Dark or Intense Orange.

I didn't see Maps Now in the 'Add-ons/Extension' Library. So, to uninstall this program:

In Windows File Explorer, you can paste the following location and Right-Click on Maps Now and click Uninstall:

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features

(Or click on Windows Start Button > Control Panel > Programs and Features)

Light Blue Banner? Is that a FF theme? If so, it is here:

Hmm, I could not find a listing for Maps Now in the Programs and features list, and when I did boot up some hours earlier it didn't show up as the first "New Tab" atop the screen. I will have to check later on if it does. A few weeks ago, when I did boot into Firefox, the first listed "New Tab" did not show and what was posted was it could not find Firefox. I did however click on the + sign under that blue banner and and show up as "New Tab" then it would go to my main listing of favorites and whatever below. I am missing that light blue banner that has the File, Copy, Paste icons to do that feature instead of using the keyboard.

In that banner are the following words: File, edit, view, History, Bookmarks, Tools and Help. I don't have that anymore. Those disappeared when I had inadvertently received that Maps Now installation which came up first when I logged onto Firefox. If I could send you a print screen of something I have copied on a word document you will see that light blue banner. It is not the ones you have sent on an earlier e-mail.

Ok, I got the ALT to bring back that File, Edit, View, Booklist and others, BUT when I go to a website it disappears again. The banner is not blue but black otherwise. Before it always was there. Is there a way to get it to be there all of the time. The Booklist was under that area of the screen as well and so a lot is different. I still have that Maps Now popping up as I just rebooted into Firefox, and wonder if that is causing that to be a factor. That is a concern.

Yes, ALT brings it back temporarily. Right-Click on a blank area up there and 'check-off' the Menu Bar selection to bring it back.

How do I clear Mapsnow from the initial log on to Firefox? I still have this coming on when I start up my browse logon.

Perhaps it's something setup by Options - Homepage?
