Hi, the answer is no it does not & no it is not.

If your a low end system with a small amount of ram then it can be slower for that due to ram use but last I heard Chrome used more. If your having a issue and would like to do something about it then please ask a question and provide details including Security Software and Extensions.

i have used chrome in various situations when firefox acted up and i couldnt fix it, but i never had that happen. it has to be in settings i would think. im on firefox 61 now and its faster than chrome, but them im not into speed or how fast i can get someplace, but its ok for those that do, i thought dial up was fast when thats all i had. firefox has been good for me for the most part, io dont get the errors i had with chrome i still have it, and if i have to use it its there, it upgrades itself so its always current, i just dont like the way it operates some times and how the opening page is set up. if i was in front of your computer i would open both side by side might have to resize a little and find out what settings are different, i just dont see how one can be noticeably faster than the other. got me interested though and i think i will just compare mine against each other see what develops. i like google i think they are very innovative and i use there products sometimes not by choice. i just dont understand how one browser is faster. that you can tell without speed tests. david
