Is there a way to import chrome bookmarks bar to firefox? Not all bookmarks, just the ones on the bar.

All I want to do is move my chrome bookmarks bar to firefox....just the bar, not all the bookmarks.

The easiest way for you to get this done is to save those bookmarks only to a HTML file (a copy/paste within a text file saved as .html should work, too) and then to import them to Firefox by using Import bookmarks from HTML from Bookmarks/Show All Bookmarks.

There is not a built-in function to do a partial import to a specific spot. However, it's pretty quick to move the imported bookmarks where you want them and then remove the rest of the import folders.

I am attaching two screenshots from a test of importing from Chrome. As you can see I got an imported folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar and moved the content onto the bar itself using drag and drop. (I like using Ctrl+a for select all. Organize menu > Select all also works.)

On the Firefox side, make sure the Bookmarks Toolbar is displayed. To turn different bars on and off, you can use one of these methods to show the toolbar list and select the desired bars there:

To turn on the Bookmarks Toolbar, Menu Bar, or other bars, click it on the list.

Hmm, if you don't want the bookmarks, just the bar, I think you can skip to the third paragraph of my last reply.

If you do want the bookmarks, this article should also help: Import data from another browser.
