Is there a way to make the bookmarks a 1 click drop down list of links (no folders and no means of organization other than sort by name?)

I have windows 10 and I keep my FF updated so I have x64 50.1.0. It frustrates me that the bookmark menu isn't like that of the old browsers. I just want a list, nothing more. It would also be nice to delete or even rename folders like other bookmarks. Add-on suggestions are welcome, but I truly want an actual change here and I'm not alone. I see so very many comments on the look of FF bookmarks.

You can right-click the Recently Bookmarked item to hide this newly added section.

If you want to hide more then you need to use code in userChrome.css or stylish to accomplish this.
