Bogus emails are being sent out to my contacts and I am receiving error messages (40 per day). What can I do?

A spammer used your email address. What you do get are the undeliverable errors. It will stop at some point. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backscatter_(email)
You can create a filer until then. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Filters_(Thunderbird)
