Thunderbird is displaying this, <menuitem id="abp-status-shownotifications" label="&shownotifications . label ;" type="checkbox" commands="abp-command-toggleshownotifications"/>_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _^

, in a section at the bottom of my screen. I've had it for some time, on one of my laptops. Another laptop and my desktop don't have this. I've uninstalled/re-installed thunderbird, after upgrading to windoze 10 and it's still there.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

This looks like from the Adblock Plus extension. Make sure you do have the latest version or temporarily disable it.

Thanks christ1. I had Trueblock plus also on this machine and it would appear the two conflicted. I've disabled it and the message has disappeared. Both updated first. I'll remove it completely if you think they can't work together.

I haven't heard about Trueblock Plus, but it sounds like it is just another Adblock Plus clone. There is no point having both installed. I'd get rid of Trueblock Plus and just stick with Adblock Plus.

Done! Thanks for your help.
