Over the years, many people have found ways around the annoying and invasive Adobe Flash. Every new iteration of Fox and Adobe puts it right back into the FireFox browser, and embeds itself into my computer.

Adobe Flash is invasive. It doesn't matter how many times I disable it, set it to "ask every time", remove it from Program Files, or set it to "False", it comes back.

Adobe Flash allows ads to play in your browser. That's the main purpose. So, for EVERY PAGE LOADED in Firefox, the page will hang, load slow, crash, or be diverted because of the advertising Adobe and that web page want you to view.

It doesn't matter that the ads are for something you already bought a month ago; it's not about you! It's about Adobe making it "look like" they delivered an ad to your eyeballs. But they didn't. They simply made the page hang, so you close out of Firefox and grab another browser to get your own mission accomplished.

Firefox 39.0, Windows 7

Flash player is separte from Firefox that is why it is refered to as a plugin. To uninstall it you will need to remove it using the Windows Operating Sytem. Probably it is best to use Adobe's own uninstall tool.

Full instructions and a link to download the uninstaller (also has a Link for Mac users)
