I have Firefox set to ask me if I want to activate Flash plugin. I use this feature to stop websites from playing unwanted videos during my browsing session. There is one website I view often that has a lot of video junk that downloads and plays with Flash. Sometimes I do want to see a video (it is a news site) and I hit "Allow Now" and the video plays. One time, I hit "Allow and Remember" by accident. Now every time I go to that website, viewing is slow and it take longer to load up because of the Flash junk. I can't figure out how to reverse the selection of "Allow and Remember" for this site. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash, but that didn't work. Apparently Firefox continues to store my selection. Does anyone know how to fix this?

hi krm307, you can right-click on a blank spot of that particular page and go to "view page info" in the context menu. then go to the permissions tab where you can reset the click-to-play behaviour and/or tweak some other options for that particular domain.

You can inspect and manage permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:

  • Click the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar
That will also show current choices you made for plugins
  • Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
  • Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab

You can set a plugin to Default then you remove a remember allow or block choice.
