Firefox locks up and wants flash player installed, I use real player because new flash player is only trialware!

more options

Two weeks ago the latest flash player was downloaded and installed. Now I find flash player was a trial ware program that requires payment so I put real player into my computer because it's free. Currently I'm unable to use Firefox without flash player wanting to load? Internet Explorer works fine, do I need to remove Firefox and replace it with Internet Explorer or chrome as my default browser?

Sorry, I have no idea what you may have installed that wants payment now. Adobe doesn't charge end users for the Flash Player (or Shockwave for Director), they get paid by the developers who publish Flash SWF files via the development programs the individual developers purchase, AFAIK. Maybe you installed something that wasn't intended for end users.

Real Player doesn't play the SWF format files by default. A format that is for Adobe Flash presentations.

Unless someone has come up with an optional Plugin for Real Player that isn't widely distributed.

Your More system details listed next to your initial posting here doesn't show a Flash Plugin for Firefox, so I have no idea what you installed that wants payment.

Please see this support article - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-flash-plugin-view-videos-animations-games

Internet Explorer uses the ActiveX version of Flash, and Chrome comes with its' own version of Flash because Google has no problem with working a deal to include proprietary software in Chrome.
Mozilla on the other hand is very rigid at making sure that Firefox is completely open source, and without proprietary software as part of the standard installation.

i also had to face the same problem earlier but now it is working fine. please try doing the following- !)remove adobe plugin and refresh your browser 2)try to import the addons from I.E to your FFB (firefox browser). 3)use the older versions of adobe flash player. 4)try some other kind of flash player (e.g jw player, monkey play, my flash etc.)

first try these if still not working then contact the MFFB support team or change the browser. you can also see if an icon with red color appearing on the left corner of the url bar. if yes then click it and activate the plugin.
