Hello mal3chka, if you delete the profiles.ini file, then a new default profile will be created the next time you start the application and a new profiles.ini file will be generated that references the new profile.

In Mac OS X v10.7 and later, the $HOME/Library folder is a hidden folder.

Open Finder and use one of these:

  • Go > Go To Folder (Shift-Command-G) and in the dialog type: ~/Library
  • Open the "Go" menu and hold down the Option key to make the Library appear

I got into the Library folder, but what am I looking for. There is no "FireFox" folder or Profile Manager. Trying to access it in Terminal, I get the following:

James-Lyons-iMac-2:~ Jim$ /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox -profilemanager -bash: /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox: No such file or directory

Did you look in "/Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Firefox" (/Profiles/<profile>/) for the profile folder?

Thank you. Everything seemed to indicate that there should be a "Profile" or "Firefox" folder in /Library. Thank you.
