Everytime I restart firefox it goes back to original default settings. how do I keep my customized settings?

I have "bookmarks, Text & Icons menu bar and print and download" icons showing. also have Firefox in max window size. When I restart Firefox everything restores to original format when i installed it including small window.

Check the the folder settings in Firefox's install location. The folder might be marked Read Only. If so, remove the check for Read Only and click apply.
