I've set the options to correctly load from last time and I close the app normally. It sometimes just locks up and when I restart the tabs have all goner. I am seriously considering using another browser - opera.

Hi Austin0007,

You might want to take a look at the Troubleshooting sectino of the Restore Session article. Not sure how helpful that will be, but it's worth a look.

Have you tried using the History > Restore Previous Session option when this happens?

You might want to look at this thread as well:

There is a ton of useful troubleshooting help from cor-el that you could try. Specifically the section about the possible problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Hopefully this helps!

Thanks but it's getting too technical, it just shouldn't happen. You'll lose a lot of users this way if it's not fixed.

I save all my tabs now by saving them all as homepages.

Do not use "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the "Browsing History".

  • Tools > Options > Privacy: History: [X] Clear history when Firefox closes > Settings

Yes, that's ok on mine yet it doesn't fix the problem.
