Firefox Sync versions for stable, beta and aurora
I'm thinking of experimenting with the "Aurora" channel, but before I do I need to confirm how Firefox Sync will work across multiple channels.
During Sync development and through earlier versions as a stand-alone add-on the sync version could be incremented and all sync clients would need to be updated to match before sync would work properly again. Now that sync is integrated into the product the product you can't necessarily update just the sync portion to match.
Am I likely to experience problems with sync if I run Beta channel (work/home, desktops) but aurora on my Android? I don't want to be forced to move to the same channel on all devices, just to keep my data synchronised.
Is there somewhere the status of Sync across the different versions/channels is documented?
Is there any plan to maintain compatibility?

The sync version shouldn't be changing again, as happened a couple of times thru the fall of 2010 and into the early winter during the development of Sync as part of Firefox vs being only an add-on for 3.5 & 3.6.

Sync is intended to work across multiple versions of Firefox and multiple devices. I use it in this manner without issue.
