You can downgrade to Mozilla Firefox 3.6 from this page. Support for Firefox 3.6 will be continued through about mid-2011.

I have just downgraded to mozilla firefox 3.6. for several reasons I didnt like the 4 version. The ebay sidebar had to be signed into every time I used it, the other thing was My norton safesearch didnt work on google. So I had to resort to using the norton safe search as my browzer instead. My hotmail didn't work properly either. If and when! I have to go back to 4 version I will use another search engine.

I don't want to say that I do not like 4 version, but my main problem now is that my open tabpages are not saved on exit. I also have tried to understand how to activate sync on my other computers, somehow I can't understand this "add" and "code" thing. I mean ... am I that stupid? Let's see what else does'nt work. I mean I don't know what to do, downgrading is not an option as one cannot go on working with an unsupported version forever. Hope someone can help me with that "exit save" problem, otherwise I am forced to stop using firefox (after so many years)

I think Firefox 4 it's just awful. Please don't force us to use IE. Thanks.

Thanks for the downgrade link. I could probably get used to the retro appearance of FF4, but I can now no longer use internet banking, which is a pain in the ***.

Boy, I don't like 4.0 either. Dang, I really don't want to go to IE 8, but some of my friends say its very similar to our older versions of FF! I have used FF for 6+ years now, and this one I feel is a downgrade! The buttons disappeared, now I have to type in the "awesome" bar-are you kidding???!! "Awesome" bar??? LOL! Everything was just one click of the mouse away, now it is a click, drop down menu, type, and open a new window each time because the f'n right click menu has been re-ordered! WTF? SO FRUSTRATING! Oh well, change is inevitable. goodbye FF.

Firefox 4 changed some of my normal websites layouts to unreadable garbage. I can not find out why? or if it can be changed.

For example, My Yahoo became garbage while the regular Yahoo is fine.

I do not have endless hours to adapt to your new software or find abstruse technical corrections.

It is very simple. If it can't be fixed, I will leave my old friend firefox and use Chrome or Opera when Firefox 3.6 is not supported.

A very unhappy result of the "exciting new" Firefox 4

A reader contacted me, if your websites appear screwed up in Firefox 4 try clearing the cache. Tools:_Options:_:_Advanced ~ Network Tab ~ Offline Storage Click "Clear Now"

I corrected my problem. I still say it's a damned abstruse technical fix. If it is taht prevalent, it needs to be correct in the Firefox 4 intallation or upgrade procedures.

My Trend Micro Security doesn't like FF4. Ebay doen't work properly. My banks work ok, but the layout of their sites are screwy. No security tab, or active downloads at the bottom of the screen anymore. Hate the new location of Bookmarks and History - bad idea that one. I'm going back to 3.6...

Downgrading is dangerous as it opens you up to threats, since they won't be supporting version 3.6 after the middle of this year. I found an extremely helpful website about restoring Firefox 3.6 UI. I also downloaded a back-button history drop down from the Firefox add-ons page. It doesn't look exactly like it used to, but it's pretty close. Hope it helps.

I've always LOVED firefox but after upgrading I don't think I've hated anything more. I've already uninstalled it from my computer and would love to go back to firefox 3.6 but am fearful of the non support....so I'll use something else....I will never understand the need to improve on that which does not need to be improved. I'll spread the word to stay away from the new and NOT improved firefox. It doesn't matter how many complain or for how long they complain firefox will not make changes, corporation never listens to the ones that made their business what it is today. They can hire all the IT techs they want to build and design their product but if people hate it it doesn't matter if it's overlaid in gold, if we hate it we hate it and we won't use it, that's the bottom line... I hope you 're listening firefox because you SUCK....and that makes me very sad....

I agree, Thella. I LOVED Firefox and would only use FF. I saw the upgraded version and quickly saw that it's not a version of FF that I want. I still use the old version and will most likely have to move on to Chrome, maybe IE if the newest version is like the old FF. Why must they change something that was working so well? FIREFOX LISTEN UP...IT'S US, THE USERS, WHO GAVE YOU THE NAME AND PRESENCE. SUPPORT THE OLD 3 VERSION AGAIN AND LEAVE US ALONE WITH WHAT WE LIKE.
