Deletion of messages in my Delete folder
Why are messages in my Delete folder being deleted with me knowing?

If the 'Trash' folder is in an imap mail account, then you need to be aware that the Server maybe auto emptying the Trash. eg: gmail auto empty every 30 days, yahoo empty every 7 days, spectrum auto empty every 3 days
when your Trash synchronises with server it will only display what is on server.
