I am trying to set up Thunderbird on my new laptop but I keep getting a failure that keeps telling me that it is "Unable to login at server. Probably wrong configuration, username, or password."

Has anyone else ran into this? If so, what was the solution?

Probably means you are using the wrong server address, or security or port setting, or username, or password for the account you are trying to set up. How did you find out what the correct SMTP and IMAP or POP server settings are supposed to be? Did you compare what is in Thunderbird's account settings with the email service provider's recommended settings for SMTP, IMAP or POP? This article should help - but bear in mind you need to use your specific email provider's settings, the article can only mention general or typical settings. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/manual-account-configuration
